MTV to debut a new show about two girls who pretend to be lesbians to gain popularity in a new school but things get complicated when one begins to fall for the other.
At first glace this seems kind of offensive. Gay for pay anyone? But its really not like that. This show is about how acceptance is becoming the new norm in many places while at the same time showing common struggles LGBT youth face on a daily basis; coming to terms with yourself, falling for a straight person, etc. This show also moves to replace lesbian stereotypes and provide us with the media coverage we so desperately search for on a larger scale. With an LGBT couple (or at least character) being the main focus of the show, I can honestly say I haven’t seen anything like it since South of Nowhere on The N in 2008. I cant say much until it actually airs on April 22nd, but it looks like this could be a real step forward and should not be immediately dismissed. Please lesbians, give it a chance, I know I will be :)
if you need more information on this new breakthrough show, here’s the link to the MTV trailer and the buzzfeed coverage :)

this answers the last two asks ive gotten, here have this its more informative than me
